    Role Summary

    Do you have experience of working as a Functional Consultant (with understanding of HR and Org implications) on multiple ERP Transformation Programmes?


    Our Public Sector client requires a Functional Consultant to work as part of a central Transformation Programme team to shape the target organisation design and initial organisational readiness for a new integrated service centre option which will be implemented following an ERP implementation taking place later this year across its business support functions.


    There is also potential for this role to extend to the next implementation phase - leading the HR implementation of new policies and organisation structures.  


    Note: the successful candidate will need to be based in the Leeds location for 4 days per week.

    Key Accountabilities

    Reporting into the Business Transformation Lead, your accountabilities will include:


    Integrated Service Centre Design:

    • Detailing the possible options for the service centre outline, including organisation structure, role profiles, skills etc.
    • Defining reporting structures, governance, job descriptions and role fitment utilising the Hay framework for the future integrated service centre.
    • Identifying the business benefits of the new organisation design.
    • Assisting the Transformation Lead with options analysis and development of an outline business case

     Organisational Readiness:

    • Identifying the key HR inputs required and identifying the likely gaps in order to enable the successful implementation of the ERP system.
    • Working with the client team to gather required information in order to implement the necessary consultation and approval processes.
    • Assisting the Transformation Lead in identifying any policy changes required to underpin the ERP implementation.


    Subsequent Phase:  The next phase for of work this role during the ERP Implementation will focus on areas including:

    • Owning the HR business process design.
    • Implementing the HR modules to optimise ERP configuration for the new HR blueprint.
    • Learning and Development implementation.
    • HR integration with other impacted systems.
    • Functional test planning and delivery.


    Mandatory Requirements

    Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:


    ERP Knowledge and Expertise: 

    • Overall knowledge of one or more Tier 1 ERP products.
    • Deep functional knowledge of the HR function in the context of an ERP implementation from the perspective of the Systems Integrator.
    • At least two examples of full-cycle Systems Integrator ERP implementations of ERP HR modules in the last five years within the UK.

    HR Functional Expertise:

    • Sound knowledge of strategic HR functional areas including strategic workforce planning, learning and development, organisation design etc.
    • Experience of the Hay Job Evaluation framework.

    Other Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills with a sound knowledge of MS project.
    • Highly organised, proactive and responsible to changing demands or a busy programme.  


    ADDITIONAL NOTE: The successful candidate will be required to sign an individual security aspect letter as required by the client.   The client requires that the successful candidate should be eligible for security clearance to NPPV3 level with SC.
