    Role Summary

    Do you have experience of working as a Senior Project Manager on regional or global business-led transformations?

     

    Our global client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive the introduction of a new global end-to-end process and supporting technology for their larger external meetings and events. The current process is handled differently in each country, so the benefits of a new global process will bring clear time and cost efficiencies through process standardisation, improved sourcing, streamlined technology, new C/X etc.  

     

    This role is all about defining the direction, steering and managing the delivery of the process (e.g. new policies, sourcing), technology (e.g. software selection) and people (e.g. training, comms) workstreams required to embed this new operating process effectively.

     

    The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of delivering business change into global matrixed organisations, combined with a strong blend of business (process, people) and IT (technology) appreciation.  Being able to engage effectively at all levels (up to C-level) to 'mediate', and gain consensus will be critical to success, so you need to demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

     

    The base location will be either Cambridge or Cheshire to suit, although given the nature of this implementation you will be expected to travel as required to impacted countries.

    Mandatory Requirements

    Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

    • Project Management Experience:  15+ years Project Management experience. Comfortable managing matrixed project teams containing permanent, contract and consulting resources
    • Business Transformation Expertise: Multiple examples of delivering business-led change within regional or global core business functions (e.g. HR, Marketing, Finance or IT). Comfortable working across process, people and technology to deliver transformational change. Prior transformation experience in 'Meetings & Events' would be hugely advantageous but is not mandatory
    • Operating style: Able to engage effectively at all levels to gain consensus and credibility, demonstrating strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
    • Qualifications:qualified through a range of project and Programme Methodologies (e.g. MSP, Prince 2, PMP, etc.)

    Optional Requirements

    The following skills and experience will also be beneficial to your application:

    • Previous exposure to Real Estate or Facilities Management functions would be hugely advantageous
    • Industry experience: Experience in large Head Office environments in FMCG Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Banking or Insurance
