Project Summary

Do you have experience of providing Project Management expertise, on an M&A business integration project?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading enterprise software company), to project manage the delivery of complex high-profile M&A projects.
 
The project needs a consultant who has: 
  • Experience of working on M&A projects or similar complex global business transformation projects
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering multiple large-scale concurrent complex global/international projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a constantly changing landscape.

Key Areas of Work

The key services that you'll be asked to provide are:

 

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of global projects within the portfolio
  • Leadership of project teams, ensuring delivery though these teams at the highest standards
  • Delivery of projects to time / cost / scope / quality in line with PMO defined methodology
  • Planning and tracking of multiple projects, including defining required resource and budget for delivery, and communication of progress through regular reporting
  • Identification and management of risks and issues to prevent or reduce impact on delivery within projects or through cross project / programme risks
  • Lead project debriefs and implement improvements to build on lessons learnt.

Mandatory Skills/Experience

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering multiple large-scale concurrent complex international projects involving a range of technologies.
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix and virtual environment
  • Ability to quickly build meaningful relationships, with strong influencing and negotiation skills, demonstrable at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and present to all levels
  • Ability to tailor styles and approach to suit audience and requirements while operating in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Enthusiastic with high levels of energy, self–motivation, resilience, drive, and initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a constantly changing landscape.

Optional Skills/Experience

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • Qualified in structured PM discipline e.g., Prince, MSP, AMP
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques (Smartsheet beneficial)
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
