Project Summary

Are you a finance and/or accounting professional with deep experience in finance, people management and/or global financial transformation management?
This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading pharmaceutical company), in managing one of the design workstreams of a Clinical Trials Cost Management project.   
The project needs a consultant who has:
  • minimum 5 years experience in FP&M, Group Finance and/or Finance Business Partnering
  • financial modelling and accounting experience
  • experience of implementing new financial systems in large global projects.

Key Areas of Work

The key services that you'll be asked to provide are: 

  • Interact with the R&D teams and to design the costs structure and understand the cost driver from each of the functions
  • Define what should be the right accounting treatment for each part of the cost structure
  • Understand the data landscape, processes and KPIs prioritized by the project in order to design the right reports to support the budget management process
  • Define the right SAP GL account and P2
  • Work closely with IT during the development of the new system
  • Maintain constant feed of information between IT team and business teams, ensuring that business requirements and needs are reflected in the system;
  • Design system data dimensions, calculations, functionalities, user interfaces, input forms, integrations with other systems, etc
  • Build and develop further the high-level process maps that have already been created in the phase 1 of the project all the way to the task level per role
  • Build responsibility matrix (RACI) for each part for the process
  • Build proposed organization required to support the BAU after the system goes live
  • Build the fit gap analysis and support the impact assessment of the organization structure and roles required for new system and processes

Mandatory Skills/Experience

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 5 years experience at managerial level of FP&A, Group Finance and/or Finance Business Partnering
  • Financial Modelling, Accounting, and/or Finance experience
  • Experience of implementing new financial systems in large global projects

Optional Skills/Experience

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • Accounting degree
  • Experience working in a global pharmaceutical organisation
